Terms & Delivery Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026 · These terms apply to every booking made through this website.
1. Who we are
DROP IT HERE is a trading name of Jenelter Solutions (Pty) Ltd, Port Shepstone 4240, South Africa.
We arrange for a rider or driver to collect an item from you and deliver it to the receiver you name. The riders and drivers on the platform are independent — this policy sets out who is responsible for what.
2. What you may send — and what you may not
You may send the categories shown when you book: documents, keys, medicine, food that is packed and sealed, and small parcels.
Prohibited items must never be booked: cash; alcohol; weapons or ammunition; drugs (including cannabis); anything illegal or stolen; flammable, explosive, corrosive or otherwise hazardous goods; perishable food that is not packed and sealed; and anything too large or heavy to be carried safely on a motorbike or in a car.
Gold, jewellery and other high-value items are not accepted unless we have agreed to carry them in writing before you book.
If a prohibited item is found, the booking is cancelled without a refund, the item is not collected (or is returned to you at your cost), and we may report it.
3. Packing and damage
You must pack your item so it can survive a normal trip — boxed, wrapped and sealed.
We cannot refund an item that breaks because it was not packed properly, and a rider or driver is not responsible for damage caused by poor packing.
Food is carried at the sender's own risk. The app warns you when a food trip is longer than 40 km because it may not stay fresh.
If an item you described honestly and packed properly is damaged while it is in a rider's care, we refund the delivery fee you paid.
4. Loss and how much we are liable for
DROP IT HERE's total liability for a parcel that is lost, damaged or delayed is limited to the amount you paid for that delivery.
We do not insure the contents of a parcel. We do not pay for replacement value, lost income or any indirect loss.
If your item is worth more than the delivery fee, tell us before you book and we will tell you whether we can carry it.
5. Delivery times
Times shown when you book are estimates, not guarantees. Traffic, weather, road closures, power failures and whether a rider is available on your route can all cause a delay.
A delay does not entitle you to a refund unless the item is not delivered at all.
6. Payment, refunds and declines
You pay before your parcel is passed to a rider. Bank EFT bookings go out only once the money reflects in our account; card, Capitec Pay, Instant EFT, SnapScan and Zapper bookings go out once payment is confirmed. Your money is held and paid to the rider only after delivery is confirmed.
Full refund: if no rider accepts your parcel, if the rider declines or cancels, or if we cannot collect the item for a reason that is not your fault.
No refund: if the address or receiver number you gave is wrong, if the item is prohibited, or if the receiver refuses the parcel or is not available and no reschedule is agreed.
7. Handover and delivery codes
The pickup code you give the rider and the 4-digit delivery code the receiver gives the rider are the proof of handover. Once the delivery code has been given to the rider, the parcel is treated as delivered and you are notified.
Keep both codes private. Share the tracking link and delivery code only with the person receiving the parcel — anyone holding the link can see the codes.
Check the receiver's cell number before you pay: it is used to send the tracking link and delivery code.
8. When we may refuse a booking
We may refuse or cancel any booking — for example if an item appears to be prohibited, if a collection point cannot be reached safely, if a rider's ID or licence is not in order, or if we suspect fraud. A booking cancelled through no fault of yours is refunded in full.
Damage, loss or a missing delivery
Report it within 48 hours to dropithere@customersupport.co.za or 083 529 5124, with your tracking code and photos of the item and its packaging. We'll respond within 2 business days.
We may update this policy; the version published on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
